It was late on Tuesday night when Gareth (firestorm_alpha)<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes”> and myself decided that we should put a post up to see how many people would be interested in turning up to get a few photo’s taken in the blistering sunlight McDonalds car park in Ards.

So after a full day of saying maybe . .<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes”> maybe . .<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes”> maybe . .<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes”> we did eventually arrive in Ards for the small photo shoot.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes”> Suitor met myself in Comber so that the 2 mercs could hit the road together (I was in a C200) and off we went up the contra flow of the Comber carriage way !

Arriving in Ards with the smart cars dump valve blowing a storm around the car park I had the chance to look at the smart in more detail and it’s rear mounted engine equipped with twin intercooler and dump valve certainly kept us all entertained.

Next to arrive was Quinn (partner of SQD car audio) in his new clio which is “under destruction”<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes”> (sorry, construction) for this years sound off championship.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes”> It was good to see Mr Sidewaysbuff in his Lotus Carlton, 1 of 900 made and number 864 (I think) off the production line.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes”> This car is a sight to behold and is basically a big cavalier <span style=”mso-spacerun: yes”> ;)<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes”> with<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes”> a wee bit more power, well 377BHP to be precise.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes”> This is Marks new show car and is equipped with an SQD boot build, which is of a standard second to none.

Armo arrived in the focus which has seen many a magazine feature and is in 2 magazines this month, this focus is a very unique car indeed and always seems to amaze me just how much hard work has went into it.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes”> As the photo’s show it’s definitely something for young Armo to be proud of.

Then Jason_macq appeared in his (should I dare) “standard” saxo VTR. Which is a very clean looking wee motor, and it was only after we all dispersed and got home that I realised that he has a quality sound system in the rear end of the wee saxo, which I didn’t even get a chance to take a picture of! (But I will next time I promise you)

Gary (fukfiesta5) was there in the two tone fiesta, all he is waiting for is the spoiler and bumpers to arrive before they get fitted and then the car will be treated to a full respray!
