JAG events held what turned out to be a huge car show in the Ballymena showgrounds. To my memory this is one of the first shows in the town, and hundreds of modified and performance cars turned out for the day. Even the morning rain didn’t stop people turning out for the event!

RMS of course had a stand along with the other websites around the oval, but there were two other fields filled with cars and trade stands. Even the PSNI turned out an exellent stand with their Lancer Evo, R32 Golf and new Impreza on display. The Steer from the Rear S15s could be seen on the East Coast Customs stand, beside it was Audio Advice and on the other side of the field, Street Racer and other trade stands could be seen.

A few words from the event organisers:

JAG Autofest 2006 End of show Report.

This was without a doubt Northern Ireland’s Largest Autofestival! Firstly we would like to thank everyone that came along and helped to make the day what is was. The weather was disappointing but it’s the one thing you can’t control. There was a good turnout from all the car club’s, modified websites and modified cars.

Anyone that has been involved in organizing car shows will understand that vintage vehicles and motorbikes do not come if it is raining so we were glad to see the ones we had. Some really impressive cars appeared throughout the day proving that Northern Ireland really does have an excellent quality of Vehicles!

The trade stands were very impressive and the PSNI, TA and Fire Brigade put on a really good display. Thanks to Trial star display team for an excellent show. There were a lot of cars of interest including The General Lee, Kitt from Knight Rider and Starsky and Hutch with thanks to Star Car Hire. The De Loreans and Hummers also looked really well.

Below is a copy of the prizes awarded on the day. It was disappointing that some vehicles left before the judging and therefore could not be included, however the cars that won were worthy of prizes in the judges opinions and no bias was shown! We cannot publish registration details so I hope everyone will know the cars we are referring to in the list below.

Anyone looking to contact us regarding collection of unclaimed trophies can do so by emailing jagautofest@hotmail.co.uk.
