An early morning start as my good mother made a fry for Scotty and myself before we hit the long road to get a lot of miles onto his brand spanking new KA. Off we went to pick up Andy (zetec125) and that was the wee KA flat to Dublin to see what was made out to be one of the best motorsport shows in Ireland.

We arrived down around lunch time to a very warm welcome by all the staff and attendants etc (no wonder at a €20 gate fee each). 1st thing we done was to go into the grandstand to watch a bit of the rally sprint and after a while we headed to the main static show for a browse about the motors and stands.

It was a reasonable display of cars from most walks of motorsport but a lot of empty space was about the hall which I reckon could have been better used to make the show more attractive and make it look like exhibitors really where mad to get into the show.

An hour at most took us round the static show so out to the rally sprint again and we managed to get ourselves into an area at the far end which was great as wee seen the few hairpin bends really well and where pretty close to the action. A reasonable day was had and a good bit of craic, though I’m not sure any of us would be back again next year.
