The Performance Car Club held their annual show in the grounds of the Tidy Doffer bar and restaurant, Lisburn on Saturday 7th August.

As usual there was a mix of cars on the day, we had the modified car scene with some crazy paint colours that would not look out of place in sunny california. No matter wot way you looked at them they changed colour and looked amazing. There seems to be no end to what these guys will do to modify their cars and make them that bit more special than the next, with amounts of cash spent in the region of 30k in some cases. The best in show winner came from this section and you really had to see this car in the flesh to see all the hard work and money that made it the overall winner. Well done Alex Magee (Al Mac) in his "SBD Vauxhall Nova."

Also on show where the american car club, with there heavy muscle machinery and lovely V8 growl you could almost feel the ground move beneath you. The classic section was displaying some real head turners also, with Eugenes Mitsubishi wide bodied Starion (class winner) and a beautiful 911 porsche and also Seamybabys mint series 1 RS Turbo (class winner best engine bay) which Chris Suitor had a lend of for the day, displaying the excellent work of the boys from SQ Design.

Performance cars where there in there big BHP machines we had two ferarris on show a yellow 360 modena and a red one wearing 19" rc spilt wheels and racing exhaust, the sound of these two machines alone was amazing and a snip at 100k a piece!

Also the Jap men where there in there very fast rice rockets, evo seemed to be on the lips of most people all day "did you see that yellow evo 8." Yet another class winner – well done Jason!! Also on display on the RMS stand was a Subaru P1 and Evo 7 MR340 among other things, and Clive from the PCC’s BMW M5- all cars presented in excellent condition.
