Given that NI riders absolutely rule in BSB, felt we needed a discussion thread.

So, Silverstone has been and gone. Northern Ireland riders leading the way again. Phenomenal ride by Andy Reid in Supersport. Made it look easy.

Josh Elliot had a great recovery in Superstock.

What happened to Irwin though? Just lack of experience on a big bike? He was good in SuperSport....maybe he might shine later in the season. Peter Hickman is the man to watch in every aspect of Road and Circuit racing. This could be his big year.

It's always hard jumping from one category to another. I'd imagine Glen Irwin's style will need some adapting as he was always throwing the 600 around, backing it in. Things that you can get away with on a smaller bike. Luke Mossey did the same transition last year and really came through in the second half of the season. Surprised Rispoli did so well straight away in superbikes.

It's also a massively competitive class as well. Haslam, Ellison, Bridewell, Easton all struggled in parts over the weekend. But the great thing is, on their day, anyone can pull a win out of the bag.

Andrew Irwin was desperately unlucky with the tyre popping in the SuperSport race. I'm hoping he can stay at the sharp end too.

Great racing in mixed conditions through all classes last weekend.

In particular, a big well done Keith Farmer for running away with Superstock 1000.

Big weekend of racing ahead. Given that a NI rider could in theory still take each of the major titles, let's show our support in this thread.

Carl Phillips is doing great things in Stock 600.

Joshi Elliott is there or thereabouts in Stock 1000 (and causing McKenzie to crack up)

Keith Farmer is fighting a tide of Kawasakis and BMWs.

David Allingham scored a podium in Supersport.

Andy Reid found the winning way again.

Michael Laverty could be a good shout after a solid win last time out.

Glen Irwin pulled a podium too.

The Suzuki is a stunner @BLS

It's Byrne's back yard and that Ducati is basically a BSB spec factory bike, so he will be hard to stop. But hopefully he can be pushed.

The Honda Racing guys are really pushing the Blade this season. Didn't see that coming.

So, no one could stop Shakey in the end. Bizarre last round, where Haslam's handlebars broke in qualifying, he then fell off in the race and basically suffered all manner of quirky incidents. It just wasn't to be.

To top it all, GB Moto have now disbanded as a team, so Haslam will probably slot into some other Kawasaki outfit next year.

Glenn Irwin got rookie of the year and another contract with Ducati (y)

Carl Phillips was runner up in Stock 600 (y)

David Allingham had a great end to the year in Supersport (y)

and a big well done to all the lads who make the trek across the water every week and end up dicing at the sharp end (y)

Shakey was the man always thought it'd be between him and haslam at the end , thought Iddon would be there abouts, other riders just to inconsistent to match shakey, next year should be great with a host of wsb riders joining. Didn't know about gbmoto what happened ther @Cess ?

Mark Smith-Halvorsen has decided to knock it on the head @BLS

JG Speedfit boss confirms British Superbike exit

Not sure of the reasons. I know he owns a fairly sizeable business in the City of London, so maybe he doesn't want the hassle. There was also talk of friction with PBM.

Other rumours: Keith Flint and Traction Control to run a 2 bike team in 2017.

Brookes to come back.

Guintoli to join from WSBK.

That's very strange they were a class outfit. I know he bought the Kawasaki's from Paul bird. Like to see Brooke's back for Caldwell mountain alone ,plus he's a helluva a rider.
