Does anybody know what 110v transformer you need to run a Porter Cable polisher? i've been looking online and there seem to be about 100 different ratings on them everything from 0.750kva up to 3.3kva. Also does it matter which one i get or will a higher output one like a 3.3kva wreck the PC? One final question, what the feck is KVA anyway?

Well Sir...KVA is apparent power, KW is real power and KvaR is....

to cut to the chase a 750va will run the PC but id advise getting a bigger one 1Kva or 1.5Kva as long as its 110v it wont damage your PC

Ah cheers mate. I was just wondering as im gettin a pc in the next week or two, i saw a picture of a pc earlier with a plug that looked like it would fit into that, although it just occurred to me that it probably already had the 110v plug fitted.... PMSL...
