B Class cooling issue

wondering if someone can help out here.

We have had someone move to NI in work and they just bought a Mercedes B class 2012 to get about.

Issue is that the heating is always on! Even when you set it to 16, still blows out roasting hot air.

Car isn’t over heating
Putting the AC on doesn’t make a difference.

Any ideas?

If it's the same as the A class there's a temp sensor in the cabin with a small fan that blows air over it, it gets clogged up with dust and needs a clean.

Or it's the sensor itself.
