Hi All,

Just to let you know that periodically we do look to re-assess the prior models that did not perform well for us against the current market climate and conditions.

Lancer EVO (UK & Imported) and imported Subaru Impreza models have been assessed successfully behind the scenes over the last 6 weeks, which has resulted in their reinstatement from today on a pilot basis.

The value of used models of these vehicles has decreased over the last 3 years and from a Subaru perspective, although still not supported properly by international motors (Subaru UK) the parts availability has improved considreably through third party specialists since we last covered these.

There will be criteria imposed, which will consist of High performance vehicle driving experience of all drivers covered for at least 12 months, a Full UK licence must be held for 3+ years, a minimum of 2 years actual (not named driver or company car) NCB must be available to use on our policy and drivers must be aged 23+ (Subaru Impreza) or 25+ (Lancer EVO) respectively.

It's a tentative pilot that (with our last experience being 3 years ago) we will look to gather some current data from.

If the same trends have continued and albeit with reduced costs our losses show the same excessive patern we will review the pilot and withdraw models as we go. Also, should we experience the same level of single vehicle accidents the responsible individuals will be declined future terms from renewal.

Basically, the longer term reinstatement will hinge upon the collective performance of the owners of these models. Thus you can help both yourself and your co-owners by not being involved in high speed loss of control incidents, or being extremely diligent as to where your vehicle (and it's keys) are located.

As with some of the higher value marques it is likely that Tracking devices will be required for higher value EVO/Impreza models.

To end on a further positive note, we can also cover modified examples of both of the above.

Kind regards

Tony

Hi Scub,

Our new business quotations are processed online via our web application form, so would be quicker to take 5 mins out tonight to log onto www.greenlightinsurance.com

Your application will be referred to our Underwriters, then you'll receive a confirmed quote by e-mail that can be retained. The e-mail is linked to an SMS/Text message being sent to let you know the basic's and confirm that your e-mail should be with you.

Kind regards

Tony

TBH Tony you'd need to have a chat with that Darren fella you have working there. I was looking forward to getting insured with Greenlight after always concidering them throughout my build.

I did an online quote, and didnt get a responce by txt, so I rang a week later and spoke to Darren. He just said that you couldnt Insure the car, I asked why and he said they just dont want to insure it, wouldnt give me a reason.

I hung up and rang Adrian Flux who quoted me fine, with the same underwriters you use (highway etc) I'm now insured with them.

Hi Keith,

If you get 5 minutes spare and dont mind PM'ing me with your postcode i'd be happy to look into this for you.

It shouldnt take long to review the notes for the referral of your risk to Underwriters, I can then PM you with the outcome.

We do have a Darren here and once i've found your record, then reviewed the relevant calls I can respond to you and discuss this with him.

Kind regards

Tony

Come to think of it I think it was the same Darren who I dealt with before with the changes to my policy although I can't be 100% sure.

Hi Gsports,

We did have two Darren's here, but we currently only have one remaining as the other left to work for one of our Underwriters.

I'll be able to see which you spoke to if we review the calls.

Kind regards

Tony
