Am lookin at a 2002 Clio whose standard stereo is a 4x22W job with 6 speakers (4 in front, 2 in back).
The previous owner left Pioneer 6x9's (120W) in the parcel shelf and I was just wondering if these could be used as the back speakers while the 4 standard Renault ones were used in the front or would the pioneer speakers be wasted on a standard stereo and I'd be better just to use the standard back speakers?

Thanks!

8 speakers running off the HU is a bit much so u can do 2 things

1. disconnect the rear standard speakers and keep running the front components and 6x9s - easy and cheapest option

2. or if u want to get the best out of the 6x9s, if your on a budget, buy a cheap amp likes of MUTANT or RIPSPEED from halfords to power the 6x9s

as above- 1. is a gift to do, just peel off some of the plastic on the back speaker wires and connect them up to the 6x9's and leave the standard back speakers out, they suck.

For spendin a couple of quid on wire it'll make a difference.

when renault say six speakers they mean a 2-way passive component setup in the front and dual cone rears. if you pull the speaker grille off the back speakers, take them out and lenthen the wires to your 6x9s you'll be sorted.
