These couldn't have been done much quicker or cheaper.

3 aerosol tins of satin black, £10

2hrs spent, Cleaning, scrubing/sanding and painting.

2 tyre machines less the 50 metres away and I didn't even let the air out :p

I tryed it on the bostons
2 days for first attempt......colour was horrible(not exactly what it said on the tin)

Then decided to return them to silver, another two days work lol (fingers were raw with sanding)

It put me off refurbing wheels, with the cost of proper paint, then the time needed it's just not worth it Imo

So this time I left them in to be done
Drop them off and pick them up,it's a lot easier

The Bostons are a very awkward style to work at, loads of corners and sh*t.

Them genuine seat ones would have been a piece of piss in comparison

@weeloaney where'd you get your cheap paint from? I'm tempted to just throw a quick lick of paint on these to keep them from rusting further over winter then get them refurbed properly at easter.

Aye, £8 a tin in halfords. Weeloaney mentioned he got all three for £10 somewhere, that's the kinda 'cheap' i'm talking about :p

It was Wilson Landrum and weir motor factors in Enniskillen. Probably be a bit far to travel.

It was there own branded stuff.

Still have a tin and a half left haha

As said @Woodcutter does paint and might have some cheap stuff. Any motor factor or some hardware stores is bound to have some cheap black tins

Aye, bit of a trek alright.

I'll probably not bother doing a few coats before winter tbh and just do them properly.

We have tried various cheap paint aerosols over the years, the one we found to be the best we now have in our own branded aerosols. Gloss/matt/satin black are £3.50 for a 500ML tin.
Think that's the price of the ones I got, he just give me the 50p off.

I was surprised to only use 1 & a half tins on the front of the wheels.

Used others Matt stuff I had lying about to do the backs.

My effort at painting wheels. Left them to my cousin to sandblast them. Learnt my lesson on the last set of wheels I painted that sanding them is a balls.
Epoxy primer in the first pic and base and lacquer in the second. Alloy wheel silver from @Woodcutter in paints and components.
