OEM Peugeot headunit / steering stalk query

Does anyone know which cable from the back of an OEM (Continental) 307 headunit allows the stalk controls to work? Im guessing from the pic below its the centre grey connection and the white is aerial? If i were to fit an OEM unit like this without the grey plug would everything else still work ok, like on screen dash info etc? Its in a 2011ish 307. Do these need coded as i seem to get conflicting answers on that.

Does anyone happen to have one of these spare? @Woodcutter do you happen to have your old one from the Partner? ;)
