Havn't heard or seen anything about this in about 10 years. I only think ive ever seen it on tv once, and that was in spain on holidays when i was a young whippersnapper.

Icelandic Formula Offroad - these things run serious serious power and apparently run engines more advanced than F1 car's engines. They even have full throttle engaged NOS afaik, once they plant it it comes on, theres a switch under the throttle pedal. These guys are crazy, loving the surface skimming they do!
