Hi lyons. They are limited editions. Only around 200 ever made although some say only 100 ever made it over here. The FQ MR's have everything the FQ's have PLUS...

*Bilstein shock absorbers
*Lightweight Roof
*10.5 Hotside on the turbo
*More aggressive inlet cam
*bigger oil cooler
*thicker head gasket
*Slightly different pistons
*Black steering wheel
*The option of grey paint

Looks great. The stock engine is 400/400 capable as a max

My old 8 had forged rods to say it could remain reliable
forged is your only option if you wish to be able to hoof it without pulling your buttcheeks together every time
Hence most are tuned to 400. It gets expensive beyond it, turbo, fuelling, coilpacks, ecu etc all start to need replaced,
Oh and if it's 6 speed that could go bang too. 5 speed is much stronger.

Thanks peadar. Yeah i bought it from ryan up in orkney a few monts ago. The numbers im not sure on. Some say 225 some say 200 editions and others say only 100 made it over here. According to dvla there are only about 60 registered on uk roads still.

Thaks eagar i thought maybe the 360 hks and 400 were stronger or slightly forged from stock. Ive seen some people on forums running 450+ on the stock internals with no problems but i cant vouch for wether its true or not. Maybe they are ticking time bombs haha

As @Eager says 400/400 so really your at your limit. Dont be tempted to push beyond that with out forging! Ive been there when pushing it on a 650bhp forged engine and Im sure some on here will remember it ending in disaster with parts flying through the air all shapes lol.
Spend £3000-£4000 and forge it with a 500hp turbo and wouldnt go past that mark or you just ruin the drive and reliability.
Speak to Andrew at Momentum and Im sure he could give you a few options.

Thanks eager and thanks also to rickyb. i wouldnt go down the forging route as the model is so rare so would like to keep it mostly original and retain the collectors value. Dont get me wrong its fast enough but we always crave more power lol

There were 225 lol all HKS editions made it here because they are all UK cars. There were no FQ cars sold in Japan, if it's an FQ it's UK.
