Hello, has anyone tackled importing a car from the Channel Islands, since Brexit and NI Protocol etc came in? Is it possible without paying any tax or duty?

I've recently been through this with HMRC and DVLA.
You must complete a NOVA declaration as soon as the car lands here, and you will have to pay VAT on it, usual 20%.
Without the NOVA declaration, DVLA won't process the registration. Everything can be done online, the Personal Import unit at HMRC aren't a bad crowd to deal with, and do get it dealt with quickly.

Do you have to pay VAT on any import now, even when it is over 10 years old?
