well not so much a song as the first line of a song. i would say i payed what the wheels are worth and got the rest free. best result in buying bikes in 35 years.
i am as we speak doing some major sucking up around the house. mind you the new pipes.clocks.airbox and other little bits do look great well in my mind.
well the postman delivered today and must have got the wrong address but,as luck would have it the bits he left fitted my bike so il keep them. stroke of luck.. EBC heavy duty cluch kit. rear Talon sprocket. and a set of cans. imagine then all fitting lol.
oh and a set of clipons.
at times i wish i was in work. iv had the fecking carbs of this thing about 8 times getting the dam thing jetted properly at the bottom end. the slightest turn of the fuel screws upsets the whole fecking thing. but, its now running sweet as a nut..
many many hours spent in the mancave waiting for bodywork to arrive...... il get a few pics up when i figure out if im gona run any front lights. prob just gona end up running one endurance style headlight..just have to figure out how to mount it, its gona be a little crowded around the nosecone because iv to squeeze ram air tubes in aswell
i was gona daytime MOT it but im gona mount one led type on one side in the nose incase i forget the time in it gets a tad dark that way i can see to get home....now to find a light..
well a little more work completed. new fairing got ripped into as im going to put it back to the endurance race look. work in progress but its getting there.
the headlight i ended up using was an NC30 unit and a total pain in the **** to get it sitting how i wanted but its sorted.
a bit more work sorted. a set of carbon engine covers. because. because they are carbon.
now the brakes had been robbed at some stage of this bike. and getting a set of 320s that fitted didnt happen unless i had a stroke of luck. i had that luck and hit on a set of 320 narrow track PFMs with the correct stud pattern for the dymags.. but that trew up the problem of calipers.
complete pain in my **** and wallet.
then along came a set of Brembo radial mount calipers and for these forks thats focking horse ****... still to finish of fitting but beer time..
were the other light would normally live on the front of the fairing the number board will be used. looks a bit strange atm but it will make more sense, i hope, when its done.
