tailpipe after backbox mot fail?

Taking car down tomorrow but just noticed the short tailpipe after the back box has broken off, is this an mot fail? Never noticed until I was washing the car as there's no extra noise or fumes or anything??? Thanks for any help

Shouldn't think so. Won't affect how it performs but I would imagine if that has rotted off it the rest will likely be in bad shape too. As long as it's not faulty ie blowing out it should pass.

The pipe needs to point down or exit past the rear bumper, weather or not it would fail on that alone would be examiners choice, I feel it would be a bit harsh
