They seem to have a good rep for the traders. Did they give you a list of limitations eg. no imports, no cosworth models etc.

Andy the list is ok it doesnt cover exotics such as ferraris etc the only other exclusions are , kit cars , caterhams , some porsches, escort and sierra cosworths but thats basically it. It covers me no problem fully comp for all jap imports including skylines, evos , subarus etc. The only other draw back is that all ///M series BMWs are reduced from fully comp to tpft but thats ok as you are still covered to drive them .

Is that skyline goin cheap yet:p

What sort of proof do you need that you are a "trader" though? Surely you can't just walk in and get cheap insurance for all your motors .. can you ?

You just need to prove that you are in the motor trade in some shape or form . I need it for customers cars and vans etc that i put graphics on also for buying and selling part time . I just had to give the registrations of what cars i had at the moment and roughly how many customers vehicles i would drive a year and that was it .

Officially a Motor Trade policy can cover you for a variety of stuff such as valeting, mechanicing etc. They will ask all sorts of questions to work out your car habits and risk.

I think its daft they exclude escort and sierra cosworths as most of them are slow compared to some of the newer jap stuff. Maybe its the death trap factor.. but so's a skyline in the wrong hands lol.

And no, no cheap skylines here! :p

not too sure but I think that under 25s may get certain restrictions such as Under 1.6 on petrol and 1.9 for diesel . Will depend on the policy though.

I'm talking standard cars here. The cosworth rule is outdated.
well dont whine too much about it!!:p

because if they decide to lift the restrictions on cossies they might get abit too smart and start clamping down on imports!!
