are you trying to fit an aftermarket unit and the plug in the car or unit has been removed?
if your plug on the unit doesnt fit the one in the car dont lob it off just buy an adapter for £10 (pc2-17-4) it will save you a lot of bother and mean your std. radio will work if you need to remove your aftermarket one.
or what are you trying to find out and ill see if can get you what colours or (pins in the car end plug) do what
when pluggin the new head unit in it wrks, but it wont remember stations, thers a block connecter off the loom tht wen plugged in wont remeber stations and when not plugged in the head unit wrks but not all functions wrk.thers only 2 wires into tht block and was lookin to find out what the 2 wires are for, me da say he can wrk out how to sort it out if he knows what the 2 wires are for.
what HU is it? if it has a power cord, a lead which connects into the HU then into your adapter, find the red and yellow wires with bullet connectors and swap them over. (if it came out of a vauxhall, pugeot or vw etc, this may already have been done, in which case swap them back so its red to red and yellow to yellow)
the small block with 2 wires just carries the signal from the unit at the bottom to the unit at the top so it can disply info.
the car has 2 live feed both need to be live for the hu to work. you have 1 permenant live and one that goes on and off with your ingnition. from the hu the yellow goes to the permenant live and the red to the switched live. that should solve your problem
