wiring neons into interior lights

was wondering if i were to cut the wire from the light in the boot, could i wire a 12 inch interior neon into that without any trouble??

want it to shine off my sub

yip twood work grand.

Ur better wiring a relay off that wire tho, and powering off the neons off another power source in case u fizzle the wire / fuse. That way they will still only come on when you open the boot but not draw power from the light circuit.

But if its only 1 neon it shoudnt really be a problem.

neons use much less power than conventional bulbs, so it will be grand and no relay is needed. in fact you can run several neons instead off the standard boot light for the same power drain!

what he said, and for god sake use a volt meter or ur neon will go bang if u wire it wrong
