Thinking of treating myself to a summer toy... want something quick and option to be road legal.

Looking at a 700 raptor.. any advice or guidance gents?

Gearbox issues are common on all raptors and the 660s have plastic gears driving the oil pump that break and starve the engine of oil (not sure if the 700's have the same oil pump issue) General rule of thumb is to avoid them. A 2006 onwards Honda TRX 450R or Suzuki LTR 450 is a much better bike. Also - you'll get bored of driving a quad on the road after the first hour.

All the impracticalities of a car and a bike rolled into one! You can't filter in traffic or fit through small gaps, they are slow and not much use for shopping or passengers and you will get wet. Buy a bike, even a supermoto.

I used to race quads so I do like them but not as road transport.
