Have been experiencing some problems with my 96 ZX 1.9TD which I assume has the XUD engine.
Bascially I have noticed that sometimes when I'm flat out on the way to work (as much as 95BHP diesels go lol) it can cut off the turbo way too early. Other times it does not come on at all and feels like a straight diesel but more strangely is the fact that other times when I am in mid gear change I hear air like a really quiet dump valve
Have been speaking to the Bessman and he has advised that there is a chance that I could be dealing with a split or dosed boost pipe (my best case scenario worked out) which obviously would be great news as opposed to being a turbo about to sh*t itself.
Question is thou, my best way to get at it to have a look and if this is common, where to start looking? Any other ideas of what it could possibly be in case I'm barking up the wrong tree?
