RMS partnered with site sponsor, Gsport Cars, to avail of their rolling road and undertake a day of power runs for forum members. The machine on hand at the GSport premises was 2WD, but this did not limit the great selection of cars that turned up to chase figures. In fact, it was reassuring to see so many of them petrol! The performance car isn’t dead yet!
The BMW M4, resplendent with Akrapovič exhaust and carbon styling was the obvious head turner. But looking a little deeper we had a stunning Honda Accord Euro-R, a freshly painted Vauxhall Corsa 1.4 and a couple of hillclimb cars in the form of a Cooper S and a turbocharged Mazda MX-5. I love seeing such a variety on display and of course getting pinned to the redline a few times on the rollers! The owner of Gsport Cars, Gavin, was a great host and Mrs GSportcars even provided a great lunch. All in all a great day; whilst not everyone can leave happy, I think most members were pleased with their BHP results.
