Thousands of supercar fans descended on County Down’s Bishopscourt Racing Circuit for NI Supercar Sunday 2022, where some of the most exclusive road going metal was being put through their paces on track. This was day two of the charity supercar event, kicking off the previous day at the North West 200 pits with a static show followed by a convoy, winding down the Northern Irish coast roads followed by a black tie dinner at the Slieve Donard. Like previous years, the event was extremely well supported by both the supercar owners taking part and spectators, with all proceeds of…

Back in 2015, Porsche decided to put decent power into their Cayman platform and give it the GT treatment, and in doing so created one of the best 3-pedal normally aspirated mid engined cars ever. It eclipses all other ‘drivers cars’ I’ve driven to date, both on road and track. With a 380bhp flat-6 from a 991 generation 911, GT3 front suspension and bespoke rear suspension all tuned by Porsche’s GT motorsport department, and a sweet, if slightly long-geared 6-speed manual mated to a limited slip diff, its a driver’s dream. Swollen arches to accommodate the wider track is the…

Over the weekend, RMS members combed our stunning coast roads here in Northern Ireland, in search of a BBQ and Coffee at Halliday’s of Bushmills. Organised by several longstanding forum members, there was a superb and typically eclectic RMS turnout. Where else would you get the likes of a Z3 M Coupé, Noble, R33 Skyline, JDM Audi S8 and Mazda MPS among many other superb members cars out together? Thanks to the members that organised, money raised for charity on the day and Halliday’s for hosting a thankfully fun, relaxed day out.

This is BMW’s new flagship EV, in the i4 range with this being the performance M50 model. BMW are no stranger to producing EVs over the last decade but this one is set up to be the big hitter due to its familiarity in this G26 platform and the i4 is akin to a 4 series Gran Coupe with the internal combustion engine and associated powertrain removed and replaced with batteries and in this case two electric motors, front and rear. Our car on test, provided by JKC BMW, does look striking in Sapphire Black, which suits the large front…

Andy hops across the pond and spends a day with ex-pat forum member Patrick McCullagh in Las Vegas for a chat in the latest episode of the Sold as Seen Podcast. After a visit to Grind and Gears Cars and Coffee event and a tour of Celebrity Cars just outside the strip, the chat quickly turned to making the move from Co. Tyrone to Nevada, rallying, Autolifers, bagging that Dimma 306 and snapping a very rare RUF 911 for RM Sothebys. During my Vegas trip I met Andrew Frizell of Celebrity Cars in Las Vegas, a dealership that deals with very special cars including the 750IL that Tupac Shakur was shot in; Al Capone’s Bulletproof Cadillac, a 1100bhp Camaro, and a one off TR Speed 12. Andrew gives us lots of detail as I pick both the awesome and unusual for the camera. https://youtu.be/KSmUOLTikrs

I visited Gears and Grinds during my trip out to interview Patrick McCullagh (Nazor on the forum) in Las Vegas. This event is an epic monthly cars and coffee event only 15 minutes from the strip, which attracted among other things a stunning Pagani Huayra Roadster. Also at the event was a friend of Patrick’s, Pete Hascher, in his Subaru Impreza rally car, originally a Group N recce car used by the likes of McRae and other rally stars in the 90s before making its way into the US. Pete has competed in Rally America in this car, yet kept…
