Mountstewart was the setting for fords celebration of its 100 year birthday. The weather was fantastic and a great selection of cars turned up on the day, from your present day Mondeo to your old classics like the Zephyer.

The RS owners club had a display of some fine fords from the Escort Cosworth right down to the mk1 xr2 – a rare sight anywhere nowadays indeed. Although it was a celebration for Ford there was also some old classics on display, as this show is held every year and is open to all cars over 25 years or more so there where a fine display of e type jaguars, frogeyed sprites, triumph hearld convertables and so on, although Mr Buff did turn up in his lotus and managed to blagg his way in for free no doubt! It did get alot of attention, and I overheard some of the older gentlemen saying "its one of those cavaliers with a boy racer plastic bodykit on it!

All in all a great day was had and it was nice to be close to home for a change.
