This year saw the 25th anniversery of the Circuit Of Ireland Retrospective Trail, running from Friday 29th of October to Sunday 31st. The event got event underway from Lisburn City Centre at midday Friday and headed straight for Wallace Park, a popular test last year followed by a loop of 3 new tests in the Hillsborough area. They then venturde back to the familiar territory of Nutts corner for a mix of new and old tests over the land of the old airfields in the area. Then it was back to HQ and some dinner while night falls before they ventured back out to traverse the countryside on the Night Navigation section of the event.

The Saturday leg of the event started with a trip to the new territory of Castlewellan for some closed road regularities in the forests of the area, before returning to Newry and an extended version of last years Gullion regularity.

The Sunday leg went down the Ards peninsula to Kirkistown Racing Circuit to what was the first special test on the Retro to be over 5 miles long, and for good measure it was done twice. It then headed for the grand finale of tests in Belfasts Titanic Quarter in the shadow of the famous Harland and Wolfe cranes Sampson and Goliath.
