Euro Treffen is a Welcome Return to the Chill Out Car Show

Motoring event experts, GTI NI, return in top form bringing us a brand new show in Eurotreffen, held at the Blue Circle Boat Club just down the coast from Larne.  This highly anticipated outdoor car show was put together at fairly short notice, in line with easing Covid restrictions it was an opportunity for the team behind internationally reknowned Dubshed to do what they know best and bring great cars and their owners together in one place.

I had spoken to Gethin, one of the GTI NI crew in a recent Sold as Seen Podcast episode and it was clear that after two years without the big shows that there was appetite to do something as soon as was allowed.

With that in mind a surprisingly warm and dry summer’s day greeted all at the typically laid back event where over 300 cars were in attendance at this entirely new venue for an outdoor car show.  Chill out tunes and the smell of BBQ in the air captured the relaxing vibe of Eurotreffen and you could tell everyone was more than happy to be there, with it being the first public outing for many stunning project cars.

Well organised and clearly well attended, it bodes well for the rest of the car show calendar this year as long as we are allowed to.

Congratulations to the two main show winners: Jason in his stunning white B9 RS4, and Chris in his 1971 BMW 2002tii.

Good rural location ,just be wary of the 40 mph speed limits both sides of the event lol.

Excellent ? We’d prefer if everyone stayed in position to minimise the number of moving vehicles with kids about the site but we won’t be hard and fast about it for this one.

| Hey folks, as one of the last forums standing, we thought it only right to post on here some news of our brand new event, EuroTreffen  Everyone is welcome but we are trying to limit vehicles to European brands only, however, if anyone is interested in a club stand please drop us an email to [email protected] Location wise, bring on the Larne jokes :joy: but we have made sure to avoid the town itself and it's set in a quiet, isolated location which we have to ourselves for the day. It's very much intended to be really relaxed and something to replace our Castlewellan event which we have been prevented from running for the past few years. Obviously we have Covid to contend with here but hopefully local restrictions won't get in the way of a good car show! Be great to have some RMS'ers there and best regards on behalf of the GTINI crew. Gethin. 323549
I'll try and make it with the camera.

Very much looking forward to this! After missing out on Players Classic this weekend through no fault than my own lack of decisiveness before it was too late I am now itching to get back to a show!
