MG Autosolo at Nutts Corner

The MG Autosolo was set up for autotesters to go back to “what is used to be like”. Putting a steering knob on the steering wheel and taping up the handbrake, arriving at the event with a fully road going car was how it used to be done by nearly all autotesters around 15 years ago before modifing your car to the bare minimum and trailering to the event took over. The idea was to encourage new and old members to take part with very little cost involved. Arriving at the event the ground was completely covered with snow and ice which would make the day even more exciting for many. A variety of cars turned up on the day including Mini’s, Mg Midgets, Nissan Sunnys, BMW’s and even a Limo made an appearance which was quite the spectatle to watch trying to donut around a cone. Overall went to Will Corry in his MG Midget, Second was Harold Hassard in a Nissan Sunny and Third went to Tony McLaughlin in his BMW.
