Once again some of the RMS gang joined the Northern Ireland Pistonhead members, this time for Sunday coast run. Starting off in Carrickfergus following the popular route via Ballyclare and Bushmills with a quick stop in Portrush and then onto Limavady.

At the start we had some of the old faces and their motors, which ranged from TVR Sagaris, NSX, Noble etc to a few new models like Leonards lovely V8 Esprit and Martins award wining Escort Cosworth. There was also an appearance from Pistonheader Eoghan in his recently acquired original Fait 500 Barchetta. Eoghans Fiat is actually a Barchetta 595, which was created in the early 90’s by Peter Stevens and Gordon Murray, its 1 of 9 cars in the world and Eoghans is No.1 – the previous owner was Peter Stevens Himself. RMS was well represented with the likes of Jack & Karl in the pock rocket g40 polo, Tim in Clio RS200 and Tahiblues Subaru Forrester Sti, to name but a few, also the PSNI were at the start in Project EVO.

Everyone moved off around 12PM and it was lovely drive along the coast road as the Northern Ireland weather decided to be kind to us. Some of the participants admitted they had never been on the route before and had a thoroughly enjoyable drive. We ended up near Limavady for a BBQ and a chat and look around each others cars, certainly a great way to spend a Sunday.

Andy is the founding member of RMS, and when he's not following motoring events around the UK and Ireland he can be found on the track (sideways, having competed in top level drifting for a decade), or of course he'll be on the forum.
