The Ultimate Car Show was initially started with the aim of giving a helping hand to charity organisations from around the Larne area. We started this out of our mutual interest in all forms of motoring and motorsports.

We decided that what Larne was missing was an arena for the people of Larne and the surrounding area to show off their pride and joy in the company of as many like minded individuals as possible.

The F.G. Wilsons site and its staff have helped us to open the show to a larger audience than ever before the last two years due to its central location, ease of access and the large display area on offer.

In this, our sixth year running The Ultimate Car Show, would not have been the success it was without everyones continued support, raising a massive 7985 (Which the organiser kevin Haveron is making up to 8000 from his own pocket) thus meaning; SpiNI, The Larne Adult Centre and local girl Caitlyn McAllister will receive 2666.66 each!!

With the fantastic weather drawing spectators out in their droves to see what the big fuss was around Larne on a Sunday afternoon, they were not disappointed to see hundreds of show cars from all over Northern Ireland gathered.

As we aim to make our show a fun family day out we had different things taking place to suit all ages, throughout the day as well as all the cars on show for everyone to admire there was live music to have a sing-a-long with, face painters for the children, a tombola with nearly 400 prizes up for grabs.

We have also been able to continue putting on live auto test displays to keep the crowds entertained with their fantastic skills, which would not have been possible without the great help from Larne Motor Club and some of its members.

The Ultimate car show team would like to say a big thank- you to FG Wilson’s, Derek from Meguiar’s for the lovely trophies and bags for the winners, McCartney Motors, P&O and all who supported us yesterday to make 2012 yet another success.

See you all again on Sunday 24th march 2013
