<p class=”MsoNormal”><font size=”2″><span style=”font-family: Verdana;”>Round 4 of the Ulster
Drift Championship got underway at Bishopscourt Airfield Circuit on Saturday 5th
July. The weather was beautiful but due to the event being on a Saturday the
entry numbers were down and a few of the usual top 8 were missing which was going
to leave the win very wide open indeed.<o:p></o:p></span></font>

<p class=”MsoNormal”><font size=”2″><span style=”font-family: Verdana;”><o:p> </o:p></span></font>

<p class=”MsoNormal”><font size=”2″><span style=”font-family: Verdana;”>New comer to the event
Seamus Sweeny in his pastel blue 180sx from the start looked like a force to be
reckoned with and sure enough he battled all day with huge angle at times to
meet defending champion Richard Bradley with Dungannon man Richard coming out
on top.<o:p></o:p></span></font>

<p class=”MsoNormal”><font size=”2″><span style=”font-family: Verdana;”><o:p> </o:p></span></font>

<p class=”MsoNormal”><font size=”2″><span style=”font-family: Verdana;”>Dungannon’s Clive
Hetherington took the final podium spot to collect valuable championship points
while Bushmills driver John Kerr took a well driven fourth overall.<o:p></o:p></span></font>

<p class=”MsoNormal”><font size=”2″><span style=”font-family: Verdana;”><o:p> </o:p></span></font>

<p class=”MsoNormal”><font size=”2″><span style=”font-family: Verdana;”>The overall championship
prize was also announced as a trip for two people to attend a round of the D1GP
drift series in </span><st1:country-region><st1:place><span style=”font-family: Verdana;”>USA</span></st1:place></st1:country-region><span style=”font-family: Verdana;”> so the rest of the championship is going to be very heated as at the
top of the table it is still wide open.<o:p></o:p></span></font>

<p class=”MsoNormal”><font size=”2″><span style=”font-family: Verdana;”><o:p> </o:p></span></font>

<p class=”MsoNormal”><font size=”2″><span class=”bluesaintpostbit1″><span style=””>The UDC points table is currently being lead
by Mickey Stock who has since sold his car and may not be continuing his
challenge in the championship with Clive Hetherington close behind him so Clive
will be looking to drift onto the podium in all remaining rounds. Chubby McCord
is laying third overall with defending champion Richard Bradley still in with a
chance if he wins all remaining rounds but it’s not going to be easy for any of
the lads.<o:p></o:p></span></span></font>

<p class=”MsoNormal”><font size=”2″><span class=”bluesaintpostbit1″><span style=””><o:p> </o:p></span></span></font>

McCord out doing battle for it’s first ever event.<o:p></o:p></span></span></font>
