The Ultimate Car Show nearly didn’t have its second year in Larne, as at the last minute their venue of the Curran Caravan Park fell through.  Luckily, only three days from the event P&O stepped in and allowed them to use one of their large yards.  With the large tarmac area available the organisers contacted myself about organising a live action drift demo not two days before the event and I was able to enlist the help of Steer from the Rear veteran Mark Brand for the task.  Due to the lack of time we didn’t have many tyres or we would have been tearing up the tarmac much longer!

There was a huge turnout for this charity show, with the major clubs and websites being well represented.  As this was really the opener for the 2009 show season, it was great to see new faces and some great new cars built for this year.  Defintiely of note is the VW Caddy van, resprayed in UPS colours and lowered on BBS alloys – pure class.

Congratulations are deserved for the organsiers as they announced an astounding £5875 was raised for charity, going towards the Larne Adult Centre and St. John’s Ambulance.
