He didn't make millions smashing his stock the man aint daft.
Yes the man had his own style off business , but if your were dealing with the amount of dickheads every day he was youd be the same !!!!!!!
Personally I never had any bother with him and was always more than helpful.
As for the cossie , its everything its spose to be , ive drove the car recently and give it a quick clean !!!!!!!
Easy 400hp car proper graham goode engine ,grey injectors group a exhaust etc.
Proper gearkit, group A brakes group N spec suspension etc .
Oz superlegaras and a set of rondals lying aswell
And it def aint sold , somehow I cant see him ever selling to be honest

Here's what he said,I've copied it over.

I viewed this car on Sunday it belongs to a guy named Eddie Torrens well known as a rogue this side of the water. He has MS now and is in a wheelchair but I still wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him. The car is supposed to be one owner 33,000 miles from new but the whole car has been painted. A few odd things stuck out too, the door handles aren't colour coded never seen an escos without colour coded ones before.......hmmmm. Original radio and CD player have been replaced with a chav headset, bonnet pull lever broken etc. Supposedly the car was sent to GGR for engine upgrade before delivery but under the bonnet is a mess, doesn't look anything like a 33.000 mile car should. Even the back box looks like a Sierra one ie. Round but someone has tried to squash it oval. Coolant tank was full of rusty water not fresh coolant all in all a big disappointment. Not a patch on my own 72.000 mile car so just a heads up I case anyone else thought of viewing it......

He seems like a nice fella. A Rogue? Ive never had any bother with Big Eddie in all my years of going to him. Some people are very quick to make judgement based on what they hear from a stranger on the interweb.

Id like to see his "72,000" mile car. must be immaculate. Eddies from when i saw it, never had any paint, it did have a **** headunit, but who wasnt changing these back in the day, The engine bay just look dirty and dusty to me, a bit of elbow grease would see it right. :confounded:

I'm told ford enthusiasts are some of the most picky and often victim of the green eyed monster. Maybe that was the issue. That and good old Northern Ireland bull sheite

Although to be fair there has been plenty of negatives posted in the past about eddy just now this thread seems full of fans lol.

Id say its more along the lines that this guy was trying to appear like he was the be all and end all of EsCos's. And because the car is in NI, the English members of that forum could call his bluff on it.

Never ever had a problem with Eddie. Its all the Chipeaters that have the problems with him, Boys from our part of the country seem to get on with him ok. :p

Was this guy looking to buy another one or why was he up looking around it?

Nosiness id imagine.

On an unrelated note, has anyone else lost the love for cossies...I think they look so dated now, have not aged gracefully. Sierra better though

I see what you mean. Theres no real appetite for them these days & their value hasn't really incresed in the past 5 years. The Sapphire Cossie will always have a place in my heart through!

Only beards worse than Ford beards are Porsche beards. Imagine being in their owners club and getting excited over sourcing a seal packet of original fuses!

If i was paying 26500 large, i'd be expecting it to be tip top, porsche beards are the worst out there, to the point of being wholly unpleasant. Mind you 26500 seems cheap compared to the Bill I've just seen from those rapists at maxted page and prill for a 356 engine, 26 grand build, 6 grand install, and it still sh*t itself LOL.

Seeing an Escort Cosworth on the road will always stir the senses i think. You just don't see them that often. Bit pricey for my liking but still awesome

Before Ford fair at the weekend I would have agreed with you but after being at the show and seeing so many properly mint examples I have a new enthusiasm for them... They are a proper classic now (when looked after properly)

I still love them personally but has to be a big turbo lux in the right colour. A guy who works with our family business had a really cracking 9,000 mile example a few years back, he should never have sold it.
