so after several days of feeling quite blue big brother wanted to get me out of the house tonite to keep him company while he took his a7 to get a service, its kind of the last place i wanted to be to be totally honest due to seeing the lump of my own car sitting in the corner gathering dust but hey ! it was fresh air a the same time so why not.

74839416_2606599629398728_1276017517873070080_n.jpg

when we got their after a few snide jokes here and their i started to get bored and started to wonder and hoke through thing when i noticed a stupid as it sounds my engine wasnt in the normal place on the stand as it would normaly be plus my gearbox had moved also and if you can spot it in the picture above on the left on the bench with a certain nightmare box beside it.

74583677_2606595796065778_5339017001765437440_n.jpg

so to my suprise matthew had stayed in the shed till 1am this morning fri 18th just to get my gearbox and diff reassembled to keep me satified.
and also to my shock the engine was basically ready to go in with all oil lines and electrics re-attached

so as it stands all that needs to happen is for the gearbox to be slapped on and it to be droped into the bay and turned over.

lurking in the background awaiting its heart transplant........

but as it stands it would not be my thread if their was not a bit of bad luck and bad news to throw in with it and thats a fact...

because if im not happy im sad, and when im sad i complain, if you have not noticed

so durning the bad weather i was informed that the wind had done a little damage nothing major to be fair but it was still something that cost to be fixed and id rather not be paying out of pocket if it did not need done.
but the bad wind had caught the bonnet and threw it over the front of the window screen but thankfully it did not break and glass or do any other damage rather than just bending by the hinge

bonnet 2.jpg

bonnet.jpg

bonnet1.jpg

so now rather than just the standard boring old red i now have a custom paint job consisting of black fiber glass wings, cream/grey bumpers and a sexy baby blue bonnet to match.
im gonna look cool 8-|

so for now thats the update on how things stand and their no point me setting time lines anymore because as you all no they dont be met when it comes to family history but lets not go their

once again thanks for reading and i hope to bring some more good not bad news soon..

After the long wait I got the correct diff its now fitted and I have some sort of good and bad news but mostly good.

On Thursday the 14th Matthew sent me a few pictures of the car with the engine in and as simple as it was ''its running''
so it turns out the massive 1.8t block was in the way of an ls waiting to go into some kind of Chevy pickup but anyway its kind of disappointing that for that reason only its the reason why the engine is now in but that's besides the point its in with bear minimal running gear so you will know by what I mean when you see the pictures because their are thing fitted in correctly and others are missing all together due to them not really being needed to do a quick run on and off for 10 secs.

but anyway the thing when in it was wired up and the oil lines and fuel was fixed so it was ready for the turn of the key.
the key was turned and for the ten secs that it was on i was told it sounded very healthy no knocks our even worse spine chilling bangs but the thing held the oil pressure and seems to be ok.
77293980_2666240223434668_183035906834300928_o.jpg

As you can see in the top pic their was a leak as have the fuel tank is now on top of the coil pack cover but somehow their seems to be fuel pissing out of the top hats so im guessing its a nipped seal our something silly and nothing to major.
also their is an oil leak at the back of the block turbo side somewhere but that is all to be sorted in due cores. like I said it was a first time start so their was more important to make sure their was actually pressure thier to cause the leaks

76760102_2666238916768132_895959611356479488_o.jpg

so its running that's the main thing that I have been fighting over the past 6+months to achieve so now that that's sorted. we can start to get the loom tucked and tidied and that oil leak sorted to tidy the rest of the engine bay up and the battery relocated.
then I can look into getting that coolerworx fitted and properly adjusted.
and that's pretty much it run it in sort the mot out and I should be on the road .

once aging guys an gals thanks for reading

more pics to follow in a while. hoping to have it roadworthy by Dec 20th 2019, would be a nice Christmas present to myself I think. !!!!!!

I wonder how a half cage would look ^o)

Half cage would be fine as long as it's a proper cage and not some ****ty show cage!
I have a good fully welded half cage spotted from fat cages eu. he makes them to order and their not to dear tbh think it would look well if I find a nice set of seats to fit my phat ass into and it painted black

ok so this isn't so much of and update on the car rather just more of an update and a plan for the foreseen months and what I want to happen but me probly trying to organise this means that's its more than likely gone to **** already  knowing my luck..

so iv bought 2 new corbeau culb sport seats in the xl size to fit my rather large exterior so the should be at home before t get back on the 20th so ill spend my time sorting them out not that their is much to but I like to over plan things to try and keep me somewhat sane even tho it never goes to plan but I will probly spend most of the winter fitting them and measuring up room for a cage and at the same time fitting the cup bumpers and srs wings to try and get all the problematic gapping in the panels right and after that contemplate how im going to afford to pay matthew for all the work and buy new bc coil overs and new team dynamic pro race alloys in either black our the very smart dark grey they have with out having to join Omagh escorts to try and pay for it all,
so now saying that word of warning to the family members that read this, your all getting socks this year form B&M Bargins…..

next to that I have to get all that done in the next 2 to at the latest 3 months and then get the fecker painted so I can make the dubshed 2020 shown in Lisburn for the first show and probly the last I will b able to attend for the year unless I bring the car to England but if I do that it will need to be mapped and even at the if I do bring it over with me it could be lying in a car park as I could be leaving for 6 months to do a few sneaky things for all of those who know what I do.

basically what im saying is that the things I have left to do arnt big but they cost a right bit and they are the final touches so this next few months are gonna have to be bounce from paycheck to paycheck unfortunitly.
also I have found a page on Instagram called trackcar door cards who do a nice job and they arnt to hard to pay for what they turn out but I think it would put the final touches to the inside with the half cage and buckets installed it might be worth looking about making a dash at some stage our doing something to clean it up but hopefully it doesn't come to that stage because like I said before when me and callum did his heater matrix its a job that I never would even wish on my worst enemy. (it was that bad)

but anyway guys and galls until next time thanks for reading and ill post up some more pics when stuff starts to arrive in the next few days

If you where doing something with dash down the line just flock it and keep it oem. Plain and simple and fits with the type of car your

not if it gets striped out and turned out like a complete track slag...... but its probably not going to happen anyway

Surely a flocked dash is perfect for a track slag?
its not really my style pus they get ruffed up if you don't look after it its only a thought at this stage it will more than likely not happen but its wont bee my style if i don't go all out and get our make the best thing that anyone could find that in everyday life is completely impracticable but i can see what yous are coming from.

I have been making a few more purchases lately,

Thinking its kind of the wrong time for it but what can you do its Christmas...

No plus 1 so i might as well treat myself. :joy:🤷‍♂️

So their is these and then a few other bits on their way and then i think it should be time to get the cage and harness sorted along with a nice set of bc racing v2 coil-overs, should set me up rightly for now.

Once they are here it will be time for it to go to paint, i might make dubshed 2020 yet all thats holding everything up now is the work but i cant fault Matthew he has alot of personal stuff going on at the moment so i cant really badger him all i can do is wait and pay the bill but hopefully all should be running by the time i am home on dec 20th then i can start to get the bumpers and wings mocked up and to unsure all the mounting brackes are their and it fit most importantly.
Still undecided weather our not to put the vortex skirts on, dont want it to look like im a boy racer screaming for fast and the furious to feature my car in their next movie but for now all i have to do is play the waiting game and wait to finally make my mind up on what im doing because at this stage its risky to start changing ideas and what i want when im this close to being finished

One again thanks for reading

Santa came early today again and brought me a little gift from the piston gods they must of though im pumping my little heart and sol into this little car and must of took pitty.

Today arrived my rotiform alloys the rse 17x8 in silver

The original idea was to run the normal 17x8 et30 but when i ordered the alloys the supplier could not get them pritty laim excuse if you ask me so i had to settle with the et40 so instead of me running a 20mm spacer which i wasn't really keen on.

I now have to run a 30mm spacer which im really not keen on because my fear is that the lugs wont catch the stud conversion on the hubs which means their will be minimal thread to hold them but im yet to test fit it all and find out what my tolerances are and what i can do but i will cross the bridge when it comes to it might have to run a hub bolt on spacer but thats if the lugs allow it and let the alloy sit flush on top of it .

78905511_2718609564864400_6784419663196454912_n.jpg

78802274_2718629521529071_3101002744610160640_n.jpg

so i thought they were a bit of a change compared to what everyone else seems to run on their polos its always team dynamic pro race 1.2 but you cant argue with a set of light good looking alloys
Maybe in a year our 2 ill buy a set and keep both sets one for shows and the other for track days and dailying it.

that cant be a bad idea right ?

once again folks thanks for reading, and ill get another update when i get home from London on the 20th hopefully if all goes to plan the car should be road worthy but like i keep saying that probably wont happen so im not holding my breath.

Until next time .

Votex skirts will tie in well when colour coded to the front and rear cup bumpers.

View attachment 258949

I wouldn’t even consider fitting them if it didn’t have cup bumpers
I have a set of them their its just their quite damaged and dont know if i should bother with them because the repair alone will be a balls and dont know if they would withstand the abuse of speedbumps and what not after they have been repaired. But i dont want to buy new ones and they do look epic when it all comes together

so i got back laast night dec 20th from work i have a long holiday now and i dont have to go back untill Jan 20th.
so i asked @jayme to take a run up to see how thing were coming along with the car and thankfully he ran me up the road in the brute of an a7

got to matthew and walked into the shed and to complete surprise the car was put together and running which i was not expecting one bit so it brought quite a smile to my face to here the thing turn over and shoot flames a foot out the rear.
he proceeded to tell me al the issues hes had with the car and could not wait to see the end of it going out of the workshop but everything was ment to be bolt on and long story short everything was far from that...........

so her it is as it stands with a video link from my Instagram since i cant host videos

btw to the best of my knowledge this is the first 9n3 polo in the worl with the integrated engineering running gear

80849654_2749995215059168_8035779108103258112_o.jpg

old pic but their has been a few things moved from this point eg injector wires have been moved under the fuel rail

80243003_2749995065059183_458873352421900288_n.jpg

very tight fit front panel had to be cut to suit intake manifold
battery still has to be moved but cant due to mot needed first

79816612_2749994938392529_6253140699831599104_n.jpg

and i also test fitted the new wheels think i will keep them after all as they will sit pretty perfectly on a 205x40 tyre

little video of me making my dad automatically hate it on the back street told him it would be quite when everything is fixed  just to stop him moaning about the noise

thanks for reading and more to follow with bumper and arch test fit tomorrow our later in the week ✌

so its been a day our two since i lifted the car from matthews safe to say after numerous people calling over to have a look at it my neighbours no longer like me due to the raving on the back street but screw them

so yesterday me and big brother thought it would be a good idea to start and fit the wide wings and to test fit the cup edition bumpers to the car and at firs impression even tho it looks ridiculous with the different coloured panels it looks savage with the srs wings, it will look the part when its painted and on the road....

here is some pics of the rest of the process

79816612_2749994938392529_6253140699831599104_n.jpg

tried the new rotiform rse just to get an idea and their growing on me the more i look at them

80771579_2753262564732433_2828434404789977088_n.jpg

pulled the bumper of and cut a lot of cable ties that i wasn't expecting to be their then proceeded to pull the wing of to get to it the hole arch had to come out due to hidden bolts and the final one being behind the scuttle panel.

got it off anyway and pulled all the gunk out in areas that i have never seen i n my life and scrubbed the hole inside of the arch now that i could get to it for the reason that you could not see the original paint

80312640_824898687948997_4452078324969111552_n.jpg

not much but a bit cleaner

79850781_2753261911399165_4607942516342259712_n.jpg

put on the new wing and tride to gap the panels as best i could but i know i will run into problems down the line as so areas are to close for comfort and at a last resort i dont want to cut our adjust the wing
also put the wheels on with the 30mm spacer and it wont need it probably better with a 20mm,
come to think of it, its actually worked out really well the supplier not having the wheels in the et30 that i wanted and sent et40

80049009_2753262498065773_4601932229302550528_n.jpg

pictures dont do it justice these are seriously wide .......

80527610_2753262191399137_2538066620983541760_n.jpg

big brother coming to supervise the maths behind fitment ...

80345699_2753261854732504_9012907794558353408_n.jpg

now its time to stand back and marvel at the sight of BPM.....

and as it was getting dark we decide to fit the front bumper to get an idea of what everything would look like

75308451_2753261661399190_2291471571899908096_n.jpg

happy with the result just fully fix everything and properly aline and im good to go at the front now just to fit the other side and fit the rear bumper then off to paint....

thanks for reading and more to follow in the next few weeks

so i spent the reminder of Christmas eve fitting the other wing on the passenger side of the car and getting everything properly aligned this was basically the same process as it was before and did a bit more cleaning on the control arm think it would be a good idea to get new hubs and control arms later in the year as their is a lot of rust and it would be in my eyes a sensible option to replace the hole lot with fresh new parts to clean the hole thing up and make it a little bit more show worthy

so here is some more photos of doing the other side at one point it got very stressful and i was just about to reach for a bag of self tappers

cleaned up quite well in my eyes

also iv got the bumper properly fixed and lined and trying to figer out how im gonna be able to mount the driver side grill as the intercooler pipe work is far to close to the bumper for it to comfortably fit

so its been a few days since i got the car back on the back street and i now have it on the road and running near perfectly.
although i have found a few problems that are normally easy to fix such as a temp sensor and a small leak around the diff housing so it shouldn't be hard to sort out.

but since i have had it on the road it hasn't taking the smile of my face

so here is how it is at the moment the alloys are on with the 20mm spacers on the front and the rotiform rse alloys i cant run any spacers on the rear as it rubs the side wall of the tire on the arch.

tires are nakang NS-R2

82238147_2793520524039970_7052764551221084160_n.jpg

81889794_2793520267373329_6638167226379665408_o.jpg
it sits well at the front very thicc

81964304_2793520390706650_6174734456935415808_o.jpg
back of the car is very low i tried to fit 12mm spacers but the rubbing and smell of burning rubber said otherwise

82959087_2793520854039937_2881255256920948736_o.jpg

this was with the 12 mm spacers as you can see it sits out past the arch and with my fat ass in the car i dont have the clearance i thought i did when i get in the little thing
so apart from that iv just been out driving on the roads getting the mileage up and finding the problems

thanks for reading

Class mate!! Only small thing would be up a touch at the rear if possible? The dragging ass look takes away from it a little imo
