Located a Gearbox / diff specialist 15mins from the Mappers in Wicklow..

He collected the car for me - I Posted him down a fresh Crown wheel & pinion plus a Bearing kit - the axle is now rebuilt, sounding sweet on the stands apparently.

Back on the Dyno next week for more abuse - fingers and toes crossed! :laughing:

Finally made some Figures today....

Still some work to do but ill Take 452hp & 373lbft..

Given that it equates to 450hp/tonne, its going to be now slouch!

Apparently throwing away HP without an Air Box.. but something to look at in the future..

Just had the car on the scales -

well chuffed to have broken the 1000kg mark - i was doubtful i would when i made the decision to panel the full car in Steel.

982kg / 452hp - Solid 460hp/tonne. RESULT

Mark, Its got a 6-Speed Tractive Sequential in it - same as the Millington Escort boys use for Rallying.

I very much doubt I will search for anymore power 370lbft is going to be lively enough!

I'll sort some kind of Air Box or at least route some cold air to the Trumpets to Reduce the inlet temps, it was mapped with no bonnet and inlet temps where noted!
You could fit a 1969 mustang scoop!, ps bhp at wheels or flywheel?

Reason for it tho.. he has been developing that car for over 20years!

You could fit a 1969 mustang scoop!, ps bhp at wheels or flywheel?

It made 411hp at the wheels, a standard E39 M5 makes around 340hp at the wheels so im pleased that some of the bolts on's made a difference!

Altering the bonnet really would be the last resort!!

Plan is to get creative with ducting some air, i will try to direct / duct the hot air from radiator away from the Trumpets and if all that isnt sufficient ill make a pair of airboxes something like these -

Tried to Tax the car 3 times today but there seemed to be a Glitch with Postoffice / Dvla software.. ill have another go tomorrow, would love to get it out a scoot on Sunday to see

What age is it ? Is it not free tax yet ? I just did mine a few days ago.
