That's class cant wait to hear it on song up a hill!
That wee fiat makes some racket when you hear it!!

I had some very high air temperatures when the sensor was mounted the air filter base plate, i ended up fitting the air sensor under the front panel so the fuel air comps are for the outside ambient temperature. When car is moving the air into the intakes is reduced via my scoop. So if you use some ducting this may also help. Its Like a Periscope, Gordon must have good
Reason for it tho.. he has been developing that car for over 20years!
It made 411hp at the wheels, a standard E39 M5 makes around 340hp at the wheels so im pleased that some of the bolts on's made a difference!
Altering the bonnet really would be the last resort!!
Plan is to get creative with ducting some air, i will try to direct / duct the hot air from radiator away from the Trumpets and if all that isnt sufficient ill make a pair of airboxes something like these -

Tried to Tax the car 3 times today but there seemed to be a Glitch with Postoffice / Dvla software.. ill have another go tomorrow, would love to get it out a scoot on Sunday to see
What falls off First!
What age is it ? Is it not free tax yet ? I just did mine a few days ago.
It would, but they wouldn't be starting from scratch so it would be a quicker process, just that with the airflow alterations some parts of map may be lean and other rich.but apparently the car will need mapped again if I change the inlet setup.

Might be worth doing if it means you can run the best airbox setup? I've found on NA engines, getting them supplied with as cold and as fresh air as you can makes a good difference.
I'd do exactly the same in your position.Correct but at this stage I just want to use the car and resolve the many other issues it will throw at me..
I'm going to move forward with directing the heat away from the trumpets, its not short on power as it is and its purely a safety precaution
I'll attend to the airboxes after getting some value from the car is its sits, it will be going back to TDP next year again to finalise the Paddle shift setup too (again providing the rest of the package pleases me)
@slickcell will knock you up a nice carbon one, I will make something that fits snuggly and is easily removed on quick latches from Composite Aluminium panelling and maybe later out of Carbon if it proves to work.
Looking forward to seeing this Ian, come along way from Wisharts shed in the fab days
Your handiness always surprises me for such a hallion lol
Awesome work Iain.
For most part, that looks like it will massively reduce the radiators ability to get rid of hot air, potentially leading to overheating..
Doesn't seem to make a lot of sense.
Of course a V mount with a bonnet exit vent would be the best way to set it up but I imagine you didn't do that for the same reason I don't run one on the Datsun, because its not as good looking.
Exactly why my RB-Z has no race car type modifications.Standard / Classic bodywork was a must
