Bit more done tonight. Rear wheel assembled, fitted and brakes bled up (front and rear), hugger and undertray refitted. I've a goosed front brake switch so ordered a replacement and also an exhaust. I wasn't sure if I was gonna put something aftermarket onto the bike, but Blue Flame exhausts are decent money and good build quality. Wheels and tyres are in the boot and will hopefully be able to get the bike moving again.

A few more ordered bits arrived over the weekend. Front brake switch, bar ends and some titanium rear disc bolts. I thought I'd lost the originals, then found them a few days later. Still waiting on the exhaust to arrive, but started her earlier with no can on it. Apart from being ridiculously loud, 1 cylinder doesn't seem to want to fire. I'll swap out the plugs for new ones and do and oil and filter change and a fresh tank of fuel and see where I go from there. Get her wheeled out today for the first time in ages.

Thats why I'm thinking a fouled plug, it'll either work, or won't, if the coil pack is goosed. All 3 cylinders are fine, just the left one (Ssitting on the bike) is only touch warm.

Back to square 1. Swapped the plugs out and still no fire on cylinder 1. There's spark getting to the plug, so I'm eliminating a faulty coil and HT lead. So, it's carbs out again and a proper deep clean this time. I've thrown out the pattern throttle cables as they're pure keek. Just gonna buy Honda ones this time.

On the up side, I finally got round to improving the lights in the garage.

Culprit of the cold cylinder has been identified. The pilot jet was badly blocked. All sorted now and all rebuilt and ready to fit once the new cables arrive.

Oil and filter dropped out and the new filter installed and oil filled. Also swapped out the old coolant for new stuff and new plugs fitted too. Nearly time for an MoT.

It's alive. IT'S ALIVE!!! New cables arrived and fitted yesterday, along with heated grips. Firing on all 4 cylinders and sounds lovely. MoT booked for next Thursday, but will see if I can get a cancellation.

And I'm done. All 3 bikes insured, MoT for Hornet first, then MSX next and need to MoT prep the Blade. It actually cost me more to tax the bikes than it did to I sure them. I think it needs a belly pan.

Thanks. For sale you say? Hahaha

Will ride it for a while and see how I go. I can imagine the lack of horse power might see it for sale at one point. I do have a Ducati itch I'm yet to scratch.

3 1/2 months into riding the bike and covered almost 400 miles of solely work commutes, the bike needed a wash. Road dirt and salt is a pain in the hole. Need to get the bike back up on the ramp some weekend and give the headers a proper clean.

Bike was washed, dried and waxed with some AutoGlym UHD wax. Will see how well it keeps the paint during the winter months.

Haven't really put as many miles on this bike as I'd liked, but I guess 2 kids will do that to you. Now that I've fi ished getting the Fireblade back together, I got it off the ramp and put the Hornet up on it, in its place.

Went about giving, what already is a clean bike, a bit of a further clean. Harpic, wet and dry then Autosol'd the headers, cleaned and lubed the chain and tidied a few other little things.

Plan is to get a new rear shock as the unit in there currently is completely fudged.
