The option to purchase fee is still £24k after 4 years, doesn't seem all that great a deal because a 4 year old X3 is going to cost you less than that if today's prices are correct.

E.g. my sister has just bought a 2016 X3 35d with 20k miles for £26.5k, its just 2.5 years old. To me that would be a much better buy surely than blowing 48 payments on a car that's worth less than the option to buy fee?

Your sister got a great deal. I’ve been looking for something something similar with a decent spec for the last 10months with no joy!

Took the advice of some members and thanks to @markus19 he made that come true. Just wish all jobs were this easy, literally done and dusted in under 10 mins.

The baby’s limo hasn’t had much done to it except finally get the wheels refurbed. All I do to it is clean it when I can and when weather permits.

No other plans for it. I would love to lower it but defeats the purpose for this car. Would be tempted to sell it soon but don’t know what I plan to do with my car first.

Would keep it if:

• it wasn’t black
• it was a 3.0
• auto/DSG
• it had Nav and cruise

What do you carry in the roof box, is the boot space very small?

It was on for her brothers wedding at lusty beg as I had to bring a lot of stuff from belfast including my son and 2 dogs lol

Never got a chance to take it off during the week and was in Annalong the following weekend for 3 nights so ended up being used again.

But to answer your question, we do find the Q5 to be quite small when full loaded with basic stuff and his pram.

My wife has hers a year now............
It's white
It's an auto
It has nav and cruise
But..........

It's a 2.0, really don't need more imo as its got plenty of torque and when it's towing we go slower anyway. I doubt we will be changing it for a good few years.

Perfect spec @mike150 - I added the carbon trim from a SQ5 which has made it look at bit more prestigious.

Adding the 3.0 TDI rear diffuser has made a great change to the look I think

My wife's is lovely looking, white, black edition with grey 18" wheels and aluminium trim. I really like it as off roaders go, I don't like them in general, just prefer small light cars.

As I said I think the 2.0 177bhp is plenty for the way they drive and I originally intended to get her an SQ5 or 3.0 as I like big power in everything but there's really no need........surprised myself with that decision!

It's a great tow car with the 7 speed S-tronic though I expected it to average better than 37mpg with the auto box

This looks great @Boydie. What would you change to next if you were changing?

18s are far too small for them, ours has 20s!

@Michael M I would love to change it to a Cayenne but she’s been talking more about an estate instead of a SUV, so maybe an A6 Avant
Sorry, they actually are 20"........ I forgot, not looking forward to buying tyres!

They're the 5 split spoke ones that are a PITA to clean the splits as they're so narrow.

Spent this morning cleaning the baby chariot, been neglected for a while but has come up ok. Quick wipe of hybrid after. Don’t think I’ve done anything with it in a long time, keeping an eye out for OEM rear door cards with built in sun blinds which seem quite rare (1 on eBay right now).

Also they can come with heated or cooled cup holders which is reteofittable, tempting but also tempting to sell and get something bigger maybe this year.

Was back in this thread looking some pictures and its been nearly 2 years since my last post 8-|

Well, haven't done anything except 2 new tyres, wheel refurb, service/s, another child, etc...

Rear tint got ripped ages ago, haven't got round to getting a new tint in, she put it up the side of a bush so I've still to sort the light scratchings. Just keeps trucking on and its perfect for family duties and runs to the dump

Not bad for 11 years old...

Would love the update the basic system to car play and add cruise control to it but really don't see the point any more in putting money into it

The system that @Cartunes put into @Phil_D SQ5 is immense, worth checking out.
