On leave and it's a nice day so I gave the Merc a bit of a spruce up. I'm still a bit obsessive about getting my drive stained so it'll get the tyres dressed when I put it out on the road

Same with mine, I'm really considering a carport, the only issue is getting someone reliable to build it.

10 years old and the longest I have ever owned a car. It’s been away for 4 months waiting on parts because of custom delays and people not want to ship to NI, but it’s back. Absolutely love this wee car. New tyres to be bought in the next week and back to trouble free motoring.

Great news
I love that, VTS saxo was the dream R plate car when I passed my test. Had to make do with my mum's 1.0 K11 micra instead
I had a 1.1 saxo with lexus lights an airfilter and black painted wheel trims 🤨 the VTR/S was the dream.

Your micra was probably faster :joy:

The K11's could do over 70 in second gear at like 8500 rpm if you taped over the trigger wheel on the crank. 1300 engine on a 998 box made them pretty quick too. I absolutely tortured a 1.0 S from 17k to 150k miles and it refused to die.

That honestly looks like about £60k's worth.

Fancy surroundings too, I'd buy a car from that location 😆 no expense spared

It was at one time lol. I'd hazard a guess that it stands me less than the deposit on my neighbours Xtrail.

They definitely could take some abuse, think my mum had 3 in a row but I only got driving the last one. There's a traffic warden in Lisburn still driving it I think, parks at Union Bridge car park. Silver with a 'Monaco' sticker on the boot lid from a trip to France about 15 years ago. There's also a nice round dent behind the P/S rear window where I hit a wheelie bin doing handbrake turns in the snow.

My wife had a blue one when she passed her test, drove it til it wouldn't pass MOT due to the rear arch rot. She gave it to her sister to learn to drive in around the farm, who proceeded to do this to it to get a hay bale in the back :joy: Still drove onto the trailer to Tmet under its own power lol.
