So.... here we go again... yes I’ve a few samba rally cars... and a couple of 106 rallye rally cars.. and a couple of nova rally cars... but.. now I’ve a 106 XSi to add to the fleet!

So. It is totally original so to speak. Original paint and pin straight panels. Sunroof welded up and a cage fitted looong ago. Absolutely fantastic how well this thing has survived. It’s 1992, and was transformed into a hillclimb sprint car when 4 years old. Was used as a competition car until 2004. Then it did a few track day events before being mothballed. Then I got it!! Just another addition to the fleet!

Class! Helped a friend build one of these into a rally car many moons ago and we competed in it for a number of years - great wee cars!

What's your plans for it?

Would love that, keeping an eye for cheap hillclimb/sprint car atm.

Do have a nova shell but needs built, and an mx5 but more of a road car, hmm!

He's letting me loose in her at Aghadowey's RSA event in a few weeks time, so hopefully no bodywork needing added to his plans lol

Do you know what the original Reg starts with? Interested to see if it’s my old one or not

Mine was xxx 7620. I think it may have been BAZ but can’t remember. Saw it around Lord Wardens in Bangor years ago

Brilliant! Supposidly there's less 1.6xsi's on the road than S1 Rallyes. I'd love one.

Cheers Simon. Even less series 1 1360 XSi remaining!

This one ain’t yours Nicky!
Ah didn't know it was a 1.4, excellent. I remember a few people on the 106rallyereg forum making those engines into something quite special.

Found me a white drivers wing yet? :p

Plan of bringing it home to @FAKER in one piece, complete... An unexpected 3rd in Class 3, being an added bonus!

You'll be able to read all about it in Pacenotes Rally Magazine soon, when I get a few words to paper.

Thanks to William for entrusting me with the car, it ran faultlessly all day. Thanks also to the organisers and the team for running a tight ship in Caribbean conditions!
