The mobile power and air is making this a much more pleasant experience

No idea what i might do with this yet, could restore it could cummins it could be a big petrol who knows see what comes along as i strip and fill up rust.

All valid suggestions lol

Before all that there is the matter of getting it torn apart,

Body off
18740582_2019436698289770_2258079095805645968_n.jpg

and onto inspecting the chassis shes in bad shape with several patches so it may be better to replace i think

Left with this much rust on the floor afterwards lol

So im going too the blasters with it anyways with the axles for a quick once over and see whats left a new chassis may be more viable at this stage.

So himmed and haaaed for a while, decided a new chassis was the only way forward, so straight too blasting.

Then to remove the new style engine mounts and fit the sloped style.

Out of curiosity what does it cost to have something like that galvanised?

You have me typing "cummins engine Range Rover p38" into google lol

So ive been busy "finishing" the 130 but i got some time too work on a power plant for the 110, I want too go big. So ive acquired a 5.9 ISB block Front drive, and 2 case 6BT industrial blocks. All in scrapyard condition but they where given too me so i cant complain.

19511826_10158825579710487_1116798634_n.jpg 19511681_10158825579990487_1994344209_n.jpg 19478267_10158825579750487_1704574170_n.jpg

Ive started stripping the ISB so far ive found ive 155 deg non reentry pistons which will be swell in a high output application. a decent crank and a perfect cam and the newer "cracked" rods, all on std bearings should be rebuildable

19512231_10158825290880487_1573406714_n.jpg 19531724_10158825291970487_1813754499_o.jpg 19549516_10158825291815487_1668358169_o.jpg 19496207_10158825291685487_1810141044_o.jpg

All in all bit of a decent find all greased up bagged up and put too oneside

19457762_10158825292220487_1993355257_o.jpg
Now moving onto the first 6bt industrial engine.

19478196_10158825306840487_1286553817_n.jpg

These engine ran an a pump instead of the bigger P but with a few changes can be made too run the daddy pump.

Going too get stuck into this one this week and i think ill have enough parts too make a very high output cummins.

Few blingy bits on the way for this one too such as an aluminium FWH and some injectors.

Well Ive been busy, too busy i reckon lol. with the cummins still not where i want it i decided too take a slightly less intensive route with this project. Ive set the 2.5NA too one side and picked up a genuine defender 200tdi engine for this. At 110HP std its not going too set the world on fire but it going too be pleanty with a pump screw and some breathing mods for this light 110.

With the engine got i stripped it down replaced the clutch, timing belt, water pump, lift pump and all new engine mounts and ive bolted it up too the lt77, Ive changed the tbox too a Discovey ratio 1.2:1 as the 2.5 was running 1.667:1 which would be a tad screamy at 70mph.

I got the lot slung into the chassis and im heading onto propshafts and a fuel tank.

I also repaired the damaged bulkhead sent it to galv got it back driled and tapped out everything and got it painted.

The color is a bit of weirdness its half grey half blue, plays on the eyes when you actually see it, in the photos its very blue though.

21231590_2069914523241987_8949539900394226608_n.jpg

Anyways when that dry i can get all the bits moved over and start and get organised with the rebuild.

Ah this is magic. Father in law has done the very same recently and has since moved on to restoring a few Discoveries, all at the one time. His yard is like a Land Rover showroom/ scrap yard.

Cant wait to see this coming together

Bit of a time jump but shes fairly well finished out now.
Mats and flaps on and fixed a few leaks, really nice and strange thing to drive literally nothing to distract you not even a radio.
