Cheers, yea i really want to keep it retro but if i want to drive it it could do with things like a radio heated seats etc could be a nice challenge adding those without being able to tell they are there.
Or i might part with it and move onto the next project see how things go.

She got a new fiesta and hasnt really much interest in it now, hasnt hardly moved bar the odd trip with the dogs. Ive permission to do what i want

Finally getting a move on with the 110 planning on taking to to kilbroney on sat. onto the interior and finishing touches, changed the rear springs to station wagon also as the 110 HD ones where way to hard for empty driving.
Few bits and bobs to get to get it properly finsihed but with the 130 sold im hoping i can get a bit more momentum with this project and the shed.

Been a late night getting eveything sorted still short a few bits but shes much further on to completion now.
Rear bed insulated ply lined and carpeted
Full cut and polish on the outside added a few smaller peices like door handles and straps trim peices etc. Painted alot of the minor details such as the hubs and wheel nuts
Managed to get a spare wheel sourced and it just needs blasted and painted.

Well after Kilbroney was called off i spent the weekend working in the shed and getting all the smaller details of the 110 finished, Im pretty happy with how it turned out, Just door cards and headliner left and i think she will be there or there abouts. Then onto the modifying of things

Well, I sold my caddy van to WBAC for the same as what I paid for it a few years ago so the defender is now my daily. This means its in need of some upgrades.
First job was to sound mat and carpet the rear to keep the noise down. Also added some storage bins and a few hooks for coats.
I also installed an alpine headunit with bluetooth and a pair of 4" speakers for now. I might look at adding rear speaker in the future when I add some loadbed lighting.
Then I moved onto the heating side of a defender, with an open load area the standard heater takes an age to warm it. So I added a wuhan night heater under the drivers seat, it also has a remote so it can start from the kitchen on those cold days lol
Then I went through her underneath topped up all the fluids and gave her a greasing, also got her its own dedicated tow bar so I dont have to keep swapping to the GMC.
Next jobs are a full exhaust with some sort of a silencer, the straight through is a little much for daily driving when talking on hands free, im also debating using it as a test mule for a ISBE4 cyl cummins or M57 test bed. Not sure yet.

Few updates on this its been a while for the daily
Made some custom sills like the 130 for her to replace the damaged ones
Had to make another tool for dieing as i lost my original one
Tidys up the scrappy and damaged sills from the farm life of this old girl
Also added a Pair of Lazer triple Rs into the grille unreal light output and can literally see for half a mile.
Knocked up a bracket and nibbled the original grille to suit.
Sidelight function is nice but a little modern for my taste on this one.
Apart from that she passed MOT again no advisorys and has been working away.
Ive some plans brewing which may change up the look to a more modern style and possibly a change in power plant and driveline.
Interior wise ive started designing a fairly heavy duty drawer system for a full length van 110 as noone makes them and id like to have a decent hidden drawer underneath a flat floor in the back for tools etc and keep it all organised rather than laying around. so far ive managed to find a decent set of 1.5m long runners with a huge capacity. But they arnt cheap.

Updates.. Been a while.
5.9 Cummins rebuilt, new injectors larger injectors, rebuilt pump, 60lb valve springs HX 35/40 hybrid turbo. ZFs542 box adapter 1:1.003 tcase gearset adapter plate etc.
Getting there should be finished ina few weeks.
Still alot of tidying up to do repainting alot of parts and maybe repainging the whole thing
