Well I haven't been on here in forever so gonna have to be more active again!
Civic is long gone and this was bought to replace it

1999 Nissan 200sx S14a (bought standard)

Mods to date:

Japspeed coilovers
Japspeed turbo back
Tubular manifold
Blitz boost gauge
Greddy Profec B spec II boost controller boosting 1.0 bar
Skyline brake upgrade
Competition stage 4 clutch (will handle future upgrades)
FMIC
Walbro fuel pump
HKS SSQV IV blow off valve
HIDs
Genuine Kouki rear bumper and spoiler (soon to have spats too)
281bhp with printout

Was flame red/pink when I bought it but after a slight bump in the rain one night it was lashed with satin black. Cheap and cheerful until I save up for a full respray but it's not high on the list.

Plans are to shim the diff and get it along to drift days :grinning: then maybe look at increase in power, also have some Work wheels waiting to go on after the salt has disappeared from the roads

prefer it in the satin black actually

so whats the story with these things? they are dead popular and their engines end up in everything right? but everytime someone buys one it seems an absolute endless money pit? so are they dead unreliable or are they reliable or ... ? as in whats the big idea? They seem tuneable I get that part, but surely if they break down all the time money is better spent elsewhere or are they only unreliable with certain power/mods etc? educate me basically!

Looks great regardless (y)

I prefer it in the black too, really not a fan of red cars :grinning:

I've not really known anyone to have much bother with them as long as they're set up properly because by nature they take a lot of abuse so things are bound to break from time to time. Saying that I drive this like a granny most of the time :grinning: biggest problem i've had is a dodgy ABS sensor, but not a bank breaker and I got a full hub complete with sensor for £10. The man i'd trust with setting it up correctly is Richard Bradley, he did most of the work so far to mine but they're an absolute bargain of a car IMO :grinning:

Cheers dude (y)

I never had any real issues with mine or my friends with theirs! Awesome cars will own a few more some day.

Car looks really well in satin! Looking forward to see the plans, actually looks very like one my friends old ones. Was this up North when you got it?

Yeah it was but never driven or registered up here just stored in the garage until I heard about it sitting unloved!

Was this motor out towards killinchy?

No I bought it down Antrim/Dungannon direction :grinning:

Jamie, will we try and order some shims towards the end of the month and spend a day doing the diffs? Mine needs done badly.

Yes we will get them done asap and have some fun lol Ashley should be out in the 13 then too..

It was sprayed but the beauty of a roughish satin black is that any drift scars can easily be repaired :grinning:

Nice wooden driveway!

We need to take this and do some rolling shots someday/photoshoot when you get the wheels on.

Yes we do indeed. Get the go pro on and get some of the flames captured. Apparently it's not just orange, huge blue ones now too :grinning:
