Owned Sierras throughout my teens but was always out of reach of the real deal.
Well, these aren't Cosworths either.
Coincidently, not one but two 2.9 24v V6 BOA Cosworth converted Sierra Sapphires were listed seperately the very weekend of the Donegal Rally. Figuring every Sierra rapest in the land would be across the boarder with their data roaming switched off I took advantage & managed to get these 2 examples taken off listing & deals were done.

They are both well spec'd and the black one is MOT'd and ready to party:

Gloss black
Converted from 1.6 Classic to 2.9 V6 24v BOA from low mileage Granada Cosworth
MOT til 3rd April 2016
MT75 V6 2WD gearbox with lightened flywheel
RS Cosworth aluminium radiator
RS Cosworth 2WD Uprated LSD
Stainless straight through exhaust with 4" rolled tip
15" Coworth Lattice wheels
2WD Cosworth front & rear hubs
Professionally refurbished 4 POT Calipers (Red)
New Disks and Ferodo Racing DS2500 brake pads
Koni Adjustable shocks & springs all round
Polybushed throughout
Rear strut brace
Professionally refurbished PAS steering rack
Corbeau Carrera reclining racing seats
RICCO 3" racing harnesses
Safety devices roll cage
Sierra Sapphire RS Cosworth 3 spoke steering wheel in good condition
White RS Cosworth Clocks
Pioneer CD player
RS Cosworth Rear spoiler

The other one is Maritime blue (quite fond of the base colour as it adds to the sleeper appeal). It's an 1800L & just as clean as its brother.
It's got tasty spec but requires a few bits & pieces to finish:
2.9 24v V6 BOA but a T5 gearbox with rare alloy V6 cologne bell housing & full 2WD Cosworth rear end make a good base.
I've sourced 2WD AVO Coilovers for it & also gathered up a raven leather interior which im not sure which car il put into as I prefer cloth.
15" Sharktooth 4x4 Cosworth wheels will go on this car too.

Before anybody asks, no Cosworth kits, 4x4 bonnets or Escort Cosworth wheels will be going near these cars.

Cheers

What are those black marks all over the carpark in the pics of the black one?? lol

The black car is crying out for a Cossie kit, the blue one is crying out for 15" steel wheels for full sleeper spec (id love it!)

Like a nice clean saph. (y)
Mid 90's a mate was left a mint gloss black 1.8 when his dad passed away so he put a 2.1 pinto on 45 Dellorto's in it as his daily driver. TSW 7 spokes, not stealths. Properly different and a lovely note out of it. That was when I had my maestro on 40 dcnf's, none of this fancy fuel injection stuff like..:p

A childhood friend was emigrating to Canada & couldn't resist the day before he left. He also left his mark on Portstewart's Promenade.

Just missed a full kit already painted in gloss black earlier this evening, bit ragin about that.

Both look really nice :grinning: I'd look out for the RS accessory kit if you want to avoid turning it into another Cosworth rep!

Brilliant, I'd love a sierra for sliding about. Both look spot on the way they are, no need for a rep mobile and as you say retains the sleeper effect

They both look well but the cage takes the sleeper look away.

I had the cage & seats provisonally sold before seeing/driving the car but believe you me it inspires confidence when driven hard. Plus I have my MSA Nat A license if I want to go sprint/climb/racing in it
