New to me, 1972 Landrover Series 3, was originally a 2.25 diesel which has been changed to a 2.0 Perkins prima. Tax and Mot exempt.
No major plans other than tidy up wiring etc and just enjoy it, will be mainly used for checking sheep, taking the dog out and shooting. May do some light off roading along the way.
Open to suggestions of things to do to it to upgrade etc

Brilliant, love an old Land Rover.

This was my project, regretfully sold it during the summer 😞 went to a mad Land Rover man who will restore it to its former glory.

Got some progress on the Series 3 which has been nicknamed ‘Lucy’
started removing wiring from the switches to Rh of steering wheel which left a lot to be desired!
Then added a auxiliary fuse box and wired up the glow plugs, electric cooling fan, and an interior light. Fitted a rear work light, but waiting on a switch coming to wire it in.
Also got the coolant temperature gauge working, this hasn’t worked since I got it and always bothers me when it can’t be read in a vehicle. Because the engine isn’t original the old coolant temperature sensor had been damaged along the process somehow. I ordered a 200tdi temp sensor as I knew this would work with gauge, had to use a 1/4 x3/8 adapter to fit it, but all working ok now.
Also got a puncture and with no spare just drove it home as was only about a mile away, new AT tyre hopefully be fitted by the end of the week.
