I took the bonnet stripes of today and due to a combination of the underlying paint being a different colour, it being really thin in a few places and I burnt through it with the toffee wheel and the fact I find it odd looking without the stripes, I’ve a new set ordered for it.

The colour difference doesn’t really show on the camera, but trust me it’s night and day difference!!

Yeah keep the stripes. My wee red has a John Cooper signature decal on one of the stripes that I think looks quite good actually.

The weather has been totally unpredictable and as such I haven’t been able to fit the new stripes. One little job I have been able to do though is to replace the side repeaters. I didn’t like the standard orange ones, so today I replaced them with a smoked set which I think looks much better.

Ah it’ll be washed tomorrow when I’ve more time! Flat out today running the wife up and down to hospital for various tests and check ups and a load of other things to be done.

Literally took two minutes out of everything to pop these on.

Possibly going to regret this as well……

I lost half the day as my wife and kids let me sleep in until after noon! so the car hasn’t got washed. I gave it a quick hose down to remove the bird poo and to lift dust from the bonnet so that I could go about replacing the stripes.

Again looking much more like herself with the stripes back on, not to mention looking better than the old cracked stripes.
