Bloody battery was dead dead. Fancy pants dash was draining it and the cold has now killed it. New one from Halfords (thanks trade card). Battery swap is a total balls. Bleeding hands later and it’s swapped ok

Used the multimeter to measure current draw with everything off and it was 0.5A Unplugged dash and 0.05A which is more like it.
So std stack back in for now. I need it for MOT anyway so the miles are right. there is a bug in the latest units where you can’t set the miles.

lastly I stretched some of mrs pablos tights over the heater feed pipe. The amount of crap that comes through and covers the dash is unreal.

Trickle charger and battery kill switch are your best friends with these cars, mine only lasts a few days without charging, lol :innocent: Mostly the Cobra alarm killing mine.

That's a serious drain from that dash though!

That’s hectic, wonder why it’s drawing so much power even when off?

How much did Halfords rob you for a new battery?! 🤦🏻‍♂️

I have a trade card though. Think it was 70-80 normal price. I went for the calcium one for the extra years warranty.

If you're lucky it could be a simple wiring thing, maybe using the non-switched supply instead of the switched?

Definitely not normal, no. Is Cooper's the same? His will have a larger battery, might still be draining just not so noticeable on his car?
