@j44nty how much were the spacers and lift kit? Is a lift kit an easy fit?
Wheel spacers are hubcentric 1-1/4”. They were sourced on eBay.com including shipping they where 160 dollars and I got hit another 30 odd quid on import tax.
Spacers came from Norway or Russia I think again eBay.com and they ended up being 110 with another tax payment of 20 odd quid. They are 30mm. You can get 40mm rears but then you need to start into replacing the camer bolts and the old ones will be seized solid and give you all that grief.

Spacer seller was: titanwheelacc
Lift seller was: tema4x4

For 700 notes you could cover lift, spaced and tyres ready for the winter.

Very easy fitted. The old studs knocked out of the struts with a tap of the block hammer over a socket on the bench with zero hassle. If your gonna give it a go replace the rear springs when you are that far as they all have sag at the rear. The new springs in the rear made the best difference to mine.

I have to say it really is a useful tool to have round the house and maybe the most reliable car Ive ever owned. Still hate diesel power delivery under 3k revs. Il never get used to that.
This 500hp mk1 would be more the tool lol

Not much to update in this other than I still intend to fit some additional work lamps and knock up a frame for the roof to carry caravan stuff next spring. For now I have been water testing with the recent floods. I pulled this off the potato dash cam tonight. The part I edited out at the start involved me driving around the police road closed sign :monkey:. The video is dark mostly because the water is up in line with my headlights . Got a bit in the footwell but nothing major. Think thats about as deep as I am gonna venture.

Realistically, how many boys do you know to come pull you out @23:27 on a Wednesday night? I admire your cavalier attitude lol

In true Honda fashion this thing has been bullet proof so far. Mostly working the fields and clearing after that last storm. General family duties it’s doing well.

Picked up some steel tubing that I will fab up as roof rails To hold an awning when parked up at the caravan during the summer. I also intend doing an A frame to hold a couple of light bars. Will finish these in upol raptor liner.

Sorry folks but this thread is now my service history too.
Changed the front pads for its trip to London during the summer, thought the rears had plenty left but this week I had that metal on metal grind. Put in some new pagid pads today.
Forest master farm jack FTW.
(I did use axel stands)

Wouldn’t recommend lifting anything off the ground by it’s towbar considering they’re only rated to 75-100kg of a vertical load at the most, especially if you plan on using it for any towing.

While I know you are correct. I’ve been lifting this thing by the tow bar steel supports since the day it was new with no issues. It’s a beast custom tow bar in its defence. Fingers crossed eh

This thing keeps on trucking. It works hard around the fields and woods all winter and all summer does the family hacks to the caravan. It does everything so well I don’t know what I would even change it too.
So far in my ownership I have replaced rear pads and serviced it. I still plan to fit some bars to hold lights and possibly an awning which would be useful at the caravan. A split charge system and fridge could also see an appearance but for now it’s business as usual.

Oh I should say I ceramic coated the plastics which has been great at refreshing their finish. I take an age to work through the paint on any car I own and so far I have only corrected the drivers wing with some megs ultimate compound but I intend to do the rest over the coming weeks. I have a few scores and scrapes but it is a working jeep so I am not too worried.
I will attach some catch up pics from my phone over the past few months.

I was in one of these of the same vintage at the weekend going to a wedding. So solid and comfortable. I should send the fella pics of yours for some inspiration. He’d love it.

Summer is over and the crv still does everything I need it to do so well. I had a few very heavy loads of logs to pull out of some very wet fields with some very muddy entrances during the summer. Took a shocking battering earned some new scrapes and I bent a wish bone on the drivers side when on the last run got it bogged to the chassis and pulled it out with a digger 😂.
Fitted a synergy tuning module. Read the reviews and they were good so stuck a bid on and won it. Fitted well and generally a good bit of kit but smokey but more torque in second gear when shifting up towing loads. Wouldn’t pay the retail price for it but for a second hand item it will be staying.
More importantly with winter coming and the headlights being candles I fitted some osram night breakers in the dipped beam and some ring rally 130w in the high beam.

still feeling they were poo I ordered up some light bars 42” for the roof and 22” for front bumper. I set about gathering up the wire and relay to make myself a loom for it all. I wired in a 3 way switch to allow me to switch them on - off - and on with the high beams.
Il attach a thumbnail pic if anyone is interested at the bottom

I hit a slight problem that the crv high beam is triggered from a negative and not positive so will need another relay to complete That part of the switch but the on off on switch is fine for now.
easiest hassle free way into cabin was through the passenger foot well so just banged a dirty great hole in it thankfully that got me into the chassis rail channel so another hole in the side of it and my loom runs with the fuel lines into the engine bay.

With that out of the way I got the switch just in front of the stalk control for lights so it’s very easy to flick the switch also.
The loom and connections took me most of the day.
Up first was the 22” bar for the bumper. Was gonna cut out the lower part and mount it below the number plate but it just didn’t fit with the brackets and I would have to hack the bumper to pieces so I lined up the drill and hoped for the best

got up on Sunday fully prepared to drill 2 holes in the roof as I had even bought the silicone to seal it but I struck it lucky as I found 2 welded on tabs under the plastic side rails that were the perfect distance apart. Couldn’t of made it up.
