Few more updates, first thing, changed out the ****ty MIB unit for an alpine i902d-g7. Marked improvement all round, and Android auto is just a delight as opposed to standard Bluetooth. Not to mention TuneIn that negates the need for infurisinfu DAB and it's random signal failures.

Elsewhere as above, polished up last weekend and a bit more over the week and given a coating of 9h ceramic pro coating, ceramic pro window , wheels and calipers all coated too. Have to say I'm impressed so far. Ive yet to see it in daylight but the obligatory pump shot says plenty for now...

Was the headunit difficult to change over?

Does this answer your question? Lol
Not difficult at all, just time consuming. Even more so when like me you don't fit the gps aerial because you think it doesn't need it,...but it does...all out again, plus the clocks. But I could do it again far far quicker.

I'd doubt it, no clue what it does and I'll probably not be doing much to this one

Picked up these pret reps, in dire need of a refurb and as I enjoy a challenge, here's my efforts. Painted by rattle can and will be painted colour by the same. If i balls it up, off they go to get powdercoated.

Far from perfect but a damn sight better.

Question though, does anyone know the closes colour to original Pretoria silver that I could get made up?

Thanks!

With a growing hatred for diamond cut wheels and the corrosion after being refurbed once, it was time for some new boots and eibach pro springs. I'm very happy.
Just before xmas, i gave it a good polish again and gtechniq C1 and two coats of EXO as per instructions, very happy with that also.

Looks the part - No thoughts on changing?

Any 'tip's' for cleaning the exhaust tips - mine are black and i don't think there's anywhere does re-chroming in NI.

Haven't had them off yet to attempt a proper clean right enough.

Autosol made a brilliant difference on mine. Used an old toothbrush to apply it.

Revo currently have a sale on their software if your car isn’t mapped already

I just used the wire wool, they're a bit pitted too so won't ever be perfect I'd say.musy try the autosol, have some in there too. As much as I'd love to fire on an aftermarket, they're super expensive compared to previous cars. No thoughts on changing, I bought the car off the finance company early because its worth alot more than what I owed, so mine to do what I want with it really!

You must be on commission from Revo.
What's the real benefit of that as opposed to a TT map done on the Dyno? Realistically

Peace of mind....

TBH what ever floats your boat, I have been a Revo customer since 2009 across 5 cars and never had issues with their software and being truthfully honest, haven't come across any concerns or major problems on the owners forums where as I have heard plenty about TT.

I recently went REVO stage 1 and it is a good job, drivability the same and gives them the extra poke they should have had from factory. Can't speak on TT, a lot of English boys swear by different company's but was handy for me to shoot to Bangor for REVO and have a local contact if needed.

Great cars - My only gripe is it's relatively boring compared to my previous M3 but for a fast daily they are hard to beat.
