Savage car all around.

So took advantage of some time off work to get the R back into top shape.
1st job was to remove all wheels, fully decontaminated, polished and sealed using gTechniq C5. Rust had also began to appear on the rear hubs, so brushed them down and give them a coat of silver paint.
While jacked up, took the exhaust tips off and give them a polish.
Decided to disconnect the valves in the exhaust too. This is normally something you can switch off with VCDS...however for some reason the 2019 PPF versions this will not work. So simply put it into Race, open the valves up and removed the wiring. Also bought OEM blanking plugs to keep the dirt out of the valves. Noise is some much throatier when normal driving with gearbox in D.
Once the car was down, gave it a full decontamination with Anachem products. Used Purge on the entire body followed by Tarminator, then finished with a spray of Citraclean to unclog the coating. Sealed it all again using Hybrid and gTechniq C2V3.
Happy with how it sits now.
Going to start chasing some more power. Revo stage 1 on these PPF R's seems to be getting some incredible gains... 370hp and 500nm.

So the R is booked in for its second oil change next week. Took the R600 filter out this morning and gave it a good clean/oil then refitted. Also rotated the tyres and gave everything a good clean.
Still absolutely loving this car, very hard to replace as it just does everything so well. Will likely give @big_pete a shout in the coming weeks to get a fresh Aero coat applied.

Expensive Fridays... but who doesn't love some real carbon!
Fitted the Racingline Carbon Fibre Rear Brace Bar today. Typical Racingline product - absolutely superb build quality, looks fantastic and uses and all OEM fitments, but you pay for it. First impressions after a drive, definitely can feel a difference when driving hard through a corner/roundabout. Back end feels so planted. The bar can also be adjusted to make it tighter/looser.
Looks great and fully functional with seats up or down.
Also, as anyone with a Golf will know, the Panoramic Roof creaks and rattles a lot when cornering, this has stopped it! So very happy about that!
Next up - Racingline Coolant Relocation Hose. This is designed to go under the R600 Induction Kit. Purely Aesthetic.
And finally, some carbon inserts for the interior door handles to match all the OEM interior carbon trim.
