So disappointed in this. I’m sure it makes business sense from Toyota but they will have gutted everyone that holds the Supra brand with such fondness, especially if it looks like a BMW inside. It will never be known as a Supra. It will always be a BMW with a Supra badge on it.

So only the racing version has been revealed today :worried:

The number 90 on the doors seems to indicate the next Supra chassis code seeing as the older ones were A40, A60, A70, A80.

The racing concept is also only 4,574mm long so it'll be shorter than the mk4 Supra, which I suppose would be right if sharing a platform with the BMW Z4.

Somewhat underwhelming so far. The original Supra was a competitor to the NSX, 911 etc but so far this newer one looks like a slightly more evolved GT86.

The big reveal - Toyota UK

Majorly disappointed.

- The front end is hideous
- £54,000 for a car with only 335bhp is ridiculous
- Interior is BMW
- It's basically a Z4 with a Toyota body kit

Back of the car is beautiful though.

Toyota has really ****ed up with this one.

Unless the engine & gearbox is completely over engineered and can handle x2 that with very little modifications. Is there any info on that?

If they make it, it will have a watered down engine. Then days are gone

Told ya.
The fun cars of the 90’s and earlier that Japan was famous for is over. Designs and all sorts of manufacturing and conformity along with various manufacturers now owning and influencing builds have killed it off. Any re-makes will never fill the appetite of hopeful enthusiasts.

Ya want a supra, spend half the price of a new one on a proper one.

Does it have the same engine as the current Mx40i cars? If so, I believe they are very tuneable. There'll be 450bhp ones before the end of the year.

Where as the old 2jz can take 600+ without any special modification to internals
